I was a little hesitant to do this shell swap, but just followed along with the extremerate video (skipping ahead occasionally to do the other side (right side also when the video is doing left side removal, etc) to save time.
My only issue came when removing the screen. Make sure you reapply heat every few seconds as you work on the adhesive, or it will cool on you. I broke my screen and had to wait for a replacement to arrive.
Other than my own mistake, the swap went pretty smoothly. It probably took 2-3 hours, over the course of a couple of days (did what I could without the new screen, then finished).
I opted to keep the stock black buttons in the picture, and like my choice.
