eXtremeRate Replacement Faceplate Backplate with Buttons for Nintendo GameCube Controller NGC - Scarlet Red

I've used the blue/purple shell before, and it's basically a perfect analogue to the OEM shell with great fitment. This red one unfortunately is different. If the same molds are being used, I assume it's due to the type of plastic being used. The Blue/Purple version uses a black base plastic, whereas this one is white plastic and I can only assume it shrinks differently after molding. As a result, this shell is considerably smaller than it should be, resulting in a extremely tight fit for components and buttons. When screwed together, there are many points of friction that prevent buttons, OEM or otherwise, from moving smoothly. This can be slightly rectified by mating half of this red shell to half of another properly sized shell, and the result also clearly shows the sizing difference with the extremerate red shell being undersized on nearly all dimensions o fit well.

Otherwise the actual quality is great, though the paint could have been applied slightly more thoroughly around the screw holes, which show the white plastic underneath.
